A typical Murphy bed design is incredibly large, requires you to drill holes in the wall and floor, and operates with a number of large springs. I redesigned the Murphy bed in a sleek, modern package. It is entirely self contained- no holes to drill. There is a bench available when it is in the upright position. The lift assist is performed by gas shocks, leaving the area under the bench free for storage.
It is currently on display at GRMakers and will be attending Grand Rapids Makerfaire.
A man obsessed with chrome wanted everything under the hood of his Cadillac Allante to sparkle. I prototyped and produced stainless steel covers for each of the holes under the hood. The one shown above was a test fit in traditional steel. This work required some lateral thinking to problem solve, and skills in traditional and computer drafting.

My attempt at making a tricycle. When designing, or modifying, a trike, the two complex problems you have to solve are steering or gearing. I chose to tackle steering. It’s a lot of fun to ride, but you’re also very aware of your own mortality the whole time.
This piece was designed using a photo that I took as reference. The photo was traced, inserted into a vector program, cut out on a Plasma-cam, bent, and then painted. There is nothing I love more than being able to go from an idea to a finished product and be involved every step of the way.
